For the love of the boys...

sometimes you have to sacrifice.

sometimes you have to do things that you would not necessarily want to do...

just to make your kids happy.

then...

sometimes?

you get to do exactly what you want to do, and look like the cool parent for doing it!

that's what happened today!

we decided last night, that we would take the boys to patriots training camp.
it was really for me, but we said it was for them...ha!

2 years ago, we surprised them and took them to training camp, and then stayed at a hotel for the night.
(you can read about that here)
today we just made a day trip.

i have to admit, that i am crazy about the patriots.

mock me if you want.

it started when i was little and i would watch the games with my dad.
my first crush was tony eason.

and.

i. loved. him.

no lie.
i had his name written all over my shoes, my papers, and my walls.
i was so crazy over the patriots, that i would daydream about someday working on the sidelines.
like. a lot.

so, to this day...
my idea of a perfect day would be

apple pie.
vanilla ice cream.
family.
patriots game.

anyways, back to the day.
we invited a couple of our friends to come with us

and then i had to act all sports-crazed and take pics of the players.
whatever.

this is probably a face i should get used to?
ya know, as my kids start to realize that it's kind of embarrassing when their mom acts weird!

aj and ry loved ocho's cleats!

here's where i got a little crazy

sorry,
but i know my homegirls marie and ruthie will love these!

the boys got to get some autographs after practice was over...
check out ry's face!
the boys had a great time using the inflatables that were set up!

started out looking like it was going to be a good race between aj and jeremiah....

then came the face plant!

everything was free.
weather was perfect.
patriots are awesome.
and the boys loved every second of it!

the things parents do!

all for the love of the boys.

(wink wink)

  2. okay. it's taken me a while, but as you know i've fallen for the pats too. when i saw the pics of the players my heart started pounding! i couldn't get enough! maybe too because it reminds me of apple pie, vanilla ice cream, family and patriots.
we need to move back if for no other reason than to be able to watch every game. ;) I wish my family was with yours at training camp. let's make it work sometime, okay?

oh! LOVED aj's expression and riley's face- priceless!
