son of a monkey's uncle

this saying took on a whole entire new meaning when my uncle came from texas to see our new house last week.

it was snowing.
i don't think he likes snow.
or cold.
or driving straight.

while i was inside painting, i was lucky enough to catch the following view for some comic relief.

don't worry. i think it only took about 30 minutes, a trip to a friend's house to get a chain, and some hard core man power to get this bad boy out!

ohhhhhhh uncle.
i loved having you and torrey come to visit!
but next time?
maybe you should come in the summer.
