Life is Good When the Birds are Outside

Pretty much all I need is this porch.

My Bible.

And a good cup of steaming hot coffee.

 The last couple of mornings have been absolute perfection for morning weather.

A light breeze, and shorts and a long sleeved shirt.

Because my life is so full right now, and I can find myself getting overwhelmed with everything that I have going on..I need this time.

This time where it is just me and God.

It's interesting, because with the way life is so filled to the brim with people, it is hard to keep my mind focused on just me and God...My relationship with Him.

Especially in the photography industry, it is all about who you know.

I feel like everyone name-drops, and honestly? Most of the time it can leave me feeling like I am really not that big of a deal. 

Silly, I know.

But as I sat there with my Bible, with only the sound of birds chirping...

(Which is a welcome sound when they are outside...not inside.)

I realized something.

God cares about me.

Rachelle.

I know. 

It's not super profound or anything.

But I need to make sure that I am putting more time into making sure my connection with HIM is what it should be, than what my connections for my business, my finances, or any other thing might be.

I need to stop long enough to listen to what God is saying to me!

Why is that so hard?

It is a great way to start my day, and it makes everything else run smoother.

(AJ is collecting vintage gas cans...so we are keeping them on my pretty porch until we find a place for him to keep them. I'm such a nice mom, right?! ha!)

I love this beautiful old house of mine.

I love this pretty little porch.

And I love when the birds are outside.

Yes. Life is good when the birds are outside.
