fun family day

a really good friend of ours got us free tickets to go the pease airforce base air show today!
not only did we get in for free, we also got free parking, free kids passes to use the inflatables, and free chalet seating with lunch! thank you  christopher and turbocam!

it was a perfect day, and the boys had an absolute blast.
we got to into the airplanes, and had a front row seat of everything going on. the boys even got an autograph from one of the pilots!

riley kept wanting me to take pictures of the planes, so i am sorry to bore you, but it made riley happy!

there was a lady who was on TOP of this plane!
crazy!

a great way to spend the day with the family!

Senior Photography ~ Emily ~

it was a beautiful night for a photo shoot. except for the fact that when we got to our location, it was packed with vendors for a farmer's market! oops!
we moved around and made it work though.
also, i had forgotten to bring a water bottle for myself. i was seriously dying of thirst.
luckily, emily's mom was nice enough to scrounge around in the back of her car and come up with half full water bottle.  not sure whose it was, but i did not even care! ha!

i actually grew up with emily's mom and find it really hard to believe that this same girl who i used to have sleepovers all the time with, (and once spilled nail polish on her favorite pants!) has a daughter old enough to be a senior! unreal.
i was so honored when they asked if i would do emily's senior pictures!
we had so much fun running around and enjoying ourselves, it hardly even felt like a photo shoot!
we even had a couple nice guys from taiwan offer to take a picture of all three of us together...to which we graciously declined.
good times.

thank you, emily for being such a good sport, and even climbing to the top of a staircase when you are afraid of heights! you are absolutely gorgeous, and i hope you have an amazing senior year!

establishing my thoughts

adam gave a message a couple sunday nights ago that was really convicting.
part of what he talked about was a verse in the book of Proverbs.
it says..."commit thy works unto the Lord and thy thoughts will be established'"
get what this really means?
here it is.

the first thing i have to do is commit my works to God.
see...it does not say "commit your works unto the Lord as soon as you feel really happy and content with everything that is going on in your life."
it just says that i need to commit my works.
what happens next?
THEN my thoughts will be established.
so wait. when are my thoughts established?
oh right...AFTER i commit my works to the Lord.

why is it that i struggle with this and see so many other people struggling too?
it seems like it's really easy to commit everything in my life to the Lord as soon as i feel good about it!
as soon as my thoughts are in a happy place.
but i obviously have it all wrong.

so my challenge to you this week is this.

start working for God. like...right now.
in the middle of a hard time.
in the middle of a financial struggle.
in the middle of a discouraging day.

when you obey Him. He is going to establish your thoughts.
so don't wait.
don't wait for a better day.
don't wait for a bigger paycheck.
don't wait for your thoughts to change.

just start now.

and just because i don't like to post without a picture,
here's a picture of my 2 little men at adam's cousin's wedding last weekend.

living near the beach

i love living close to the beach.
i have tons of memories of my family, youth group, boyfriend (adam :)) and many trips to the beach.
mel and chad were here for the weekend, so we decided to skip out on watching batman. (and believe me. it was a big decision for the boys.) and go to the beach.
we grabbed a football and soccer ball and ran out the door.
i really didn't think that anyone would go in the water, but the boys had a great time jumping in the waves.
cal was literally in just a diaper and jumping in the water almost the entire time!

my boys loved playing football and soccer with daddy

i played football for a while too, but you will have to go to my sister's blog to see those pictures once she puts them up!

a little sister and sister-in-law time

i can hardly believe i am even going to post this picture that my brother took of me and bobbi.
i mean really. i may regret this later..haha!

we ended the night by meeting my parents for ice cream...

the perfect ending to any night, in my opinion!
yep. living near the beach is amazing...especially when you get to go with such an amazing family.

Senior Photography ~ Brianna Rachelle

it seems like just yesterday that i would run back to my dorm room at liberty, and check to see if my answering machine was blinking. i loved getting messages from my adorable niece, brianna! my sister would have her say all the cute little words she could think of for a 2-year-old...cucumber, adorable..ha! i loved it.
and now. here i am doing senior pictures for this same niece. say what??
i can hardly believe it.
brianna was a perfect model for me, and we had so much fun together!

brianna, you have become a beautiful young woman, on the outside as well as the inside.
i am so proud to be your aunt, and i am excited to see what God has planned for your life as you continue to keep Him first!

finally close enough for a surprise visit

after three years of the currier's living in virginia, they finally moved close enough for a surprise visit!
yay!!
last monday, i checked with bri and cam to make sure they were going to be home, and me and the boys drove the 2 1/2 hours to hampden, mass.
erika had NO idea that we were coming...and just her reaction alone was worth the trip!

i was actually enjoying myself too much to really take any pictures.
i have missed sitting down with a cup of coffee and just TALKING!
i am so blessed to have such an amazing sister in my life who i can talk to about anything...and who is such a great example as a mom for me to look up to and follow!

here are at least a few shots of the day (sorry bri, drew, cam, aj and alissa for not including you. don't take it personally!)

ahhhhhh.
reunited again :)
